Now I “accidentally”  became a chef back in 2018. One of the restaurants I was working in as a waiter was short a chef and asked me to step in. Long story short, I’ve been cooking ever since. I cooked in a few restaurants across London professionally for around 2 years in total, which in the grand scheme things isn’t really long in the chef world. I never went to catering college and I certainly didn’t go to culinary school, but in those 2 years of professionally cooking I picked up a few tips that will take your home cooking to the next level.

Lockdown is where The Grubworks Kitchen was born. I just lost a really good junior sous chef role so I took my cooking skills to social media. Its crazy, but I’ve been doing this for nearly 4 years now and I can’t believe this is my “job”!

Now this is called unfiltered flavours because I’ll be honest, I love food. It hasn’t always been this way and I’ve always had a love hate relationship with food growing up. So I don’t want to put a filter on what I do, I just want to cook with my soul. I love creating exciting combinations and I have respect for the ingredients that I use. If you’re looking for quick 30 minute meals, that’s not going to be the standard here. Yeah of course there will be the odd one, but I want to show you guys how to cook from scratch and go that extra mile.
